Wood Education Programme :-
- Works independently, and with Teacher Placement
and other INSET Providers, to
provide training for staff
- Through its database, puts schools and others, in touch with
forest nursery owners, woodland and forest owners, primary
industrial wood and timber users, and secondary users and
craftsmen for visits, demonstrations, lectures, and activities
- Works independently, and with others, to provide learning
experiences for pupils and students, both within schools and
colleges, and in the field
- Offers information on all aspects of woods, forests, wood,
timber and their management, uses and conservation
- Maintains a database of woods and forests accessible for
worthwhile field work
- Offers advice on trees and woods on school and college sites
- Offers advice on integration of work related to wood, woodlands
and forests into the National Curriculum especially in relation
to the sustained use of natural resources and
